Later today

My house is quiet. Star Trek: Next Generation is on the tv and even Mikey, Jack Russell Terrier is napping. It's getting dark outside, mother nature preparing to storm again. The wind is bending my peonies and separating them from their deep fuchia petals. I waited all winter to see them only to have them crushed by water and wind their first day blooming.

The favorite daughter, Camila or as her aunt Kari christened her "Camel", is buried under the sofa cushions watching her "new" discovery-Star Trek The Next Generation. Ever since she watched the new Star Trek movie she boldly going where she's only tippy-toed before-the Star Trek Universe. All thanks to Zachary Quinto's carefully manicured eyebrows and Chris Pine's super-delicious sexiness.

The husband is away for four days on a business trip and the grandmother is in her room watching her daily dose of sugar-coated mexican soap operas. All is right with my little world.

MY FIRST BLOG!!!!!

My first blog! The pressure, the nerves, the crazed look on my face and the blank spaces in my brain! Need to make a good first impression, can't mess it up! What do I blog about? What does anyone want to know about me or mine? Why would anyone want to know about me or mine? Should I use this blog for good or evil? Should I use it as a narcissistic venue or a more benevolent one? Either way I can't decide right now because I did this on a whim and I have to get back to work before it's time to leave!
